Smit Patel Biography
Smit Patel is an Indian cricketer who is a right handed batsman and wicket keeper. He played for the India Under 19 team that won the world cup. He represents Gujarat in List A matches and he also plays for Gujarat Under 19 team.
Smit Patel was born on 16th May 1993 in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. His father’s name is Kamlesh Patel and his mother’s name is Bina Patel. He has two sisters Zalak Patel and Zinal Patel. His father and his grandfather Ramesh Patel were both wicketkeeper batsmen of Dariyapur Club. He is coached by R Sridhar.
He started to keep wickets from his age of seven. He got training in bowling, batting and wicket keeping at the LD Arts academy. He is employed at the Reliance Industries Limited in the sports quota. His parents went to United States for business purposes. But he stayed at Ahmedabad to practice and continue his career in cricket.
He made his List A debut for Gujarat team against Saurashtra team at Mumbai on 28th February 2012. His first class debut was against Madhya Pradesh team at Indore on 2nd November 2012.
