Simon (music Director) Biography 
Simon is an upcoming music director of Tamil cinema who made his debut through 2013 movie - Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555). The sound tracks received positive response from critics and the album was well received by music lovers too. L. G. Ravichandar’s Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani – is his upcoming movie. Though Simon has not trained in music, this music director has given new promises to the music world.
He was born in Chennai in 1984. He schooled at Don Bosco School. He started learning music at the age of 16 from Jayakar, whom Simon regards as his mentor. He studied electrical and electronics engineering and at the same time, continued with his music career. His first recording was for the singer Jolle Abraham. Even then he was not serious with his music career. It was just for fun and a fantasy, but eventually got addicted to music. Though he doesn’t have any formal training in music he decided to pursue a career in music and he believes that music is an inborn talent. He took long 10 years to complete his engineering degree and he did it only for the sake of his parents.
He is a huge fan of Stevie Wonder and Steele Dan, Yellow Jackets, Blood Sweat and Tears, David Foster, Dave Brubeck and McCoy Tyner are among his influences. Among Indian artists, he loves Rahman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Pandit Ravishankar. He first hears the script idea, registers in mind and then does his work. He believes that director Sasi played a crucial role in making him a music director. In fact he got his first break – 555 through Sasi.
