Shwetha Chengappa Biography

Shwetha Chengappa is a noted Kannada actress, who predominantly works in Kannada TV shows. She is a successful TV anchor too. She has also appeared in a few Kannada films, and reality shows on television. Shwetha has won Best Anchor Award by Zee Kannada twice. Thangigagi, Varsha, Titanic, Black widow & Fast and Furious are some of the movies in which she acted. In 2017 she hosted the dance reality show, Dance Dance Juniors. Sumathi, Kadambari, Sukanya, Arundhathi, Saundarya etc are some of the shows in which she acted. Yariguntu Yarigilla and Kuniyonu Bara are a few more shows which she hosted.

She was born in Somwarpet, Kodagu, Karnataka in the year 1985. She started her acting career with 2003 series, Sumathi, where she played the titular role. The show was directed by well-known filmmaker, S. Narayan. Kadambari in 2006 was her second show, and it gave her initial recognition in television industry. She played titular roles in two more series, Arundhathi and Saundarya, thus playing the titular role in her first 5 TV soaps. After that she started anchoring TV shows, and she succeeded in this field as well. In fact she earned more fame and recognition as a TV anchor.

Yariguntu Yarigilla for ZEE Kannada in 2012 was the first show she anchored, followed by Kuniyonu Bara the following year. After that she participated in a few reality shows also. She was a contestant of the reality show, Bigg Boss Season 2 in 2014 followed by Super Minute in 2015. She also became a part of the comedy show, Majaa Talkies in 2015, where she played the role of Raani.
