Shwetha Bandekar Biography 
Shwetha Bandekar is a south Indian film actress who worked in Tamil and Telugu movies. Alwar and Valluvan Vasuki are her popular film appearances. Though she remained less successful in films, she is quite popular with her TV soap roles, and has played lead roles in Chandralekha and Lakshmi Vandhachu, playing the titular roles of Chandra and Latchu respectively. The show Chandralekha started in 2014 is still on air, being telecasted on Sun TV. She, along with Nagashree was the 2nd runner up of the reality show, Star Wars Season 1 aired on Sun TV. The first season was then won by Nancy Jennifer and Ramakrishnan.
Shwetha’s name is often credited as Swapna. She holds a B.Tech degree as well as an MBA degree. Yet she pursued a career in acting. She was modelling, when director of Aalwar was looking for a girl to play actor Ajith Kumar's sister in the film. She marked her acting debut in the year 2007, playing Ajith’s sister in Aalwar. The following year she bagged her first lead role through Valluvan Vasuki directed by K. Bharathi. It received negative reviews and flopped at the box-office. Later Shwetha switched over to supporting roles, and also did television shows, and succeeded in this field.
She shot to fame through her debut series, Chandralekha, aired on SUN TV since 2014. The show has already done over 1000 episodes on Sun Television, and is still popular. Her second television role was Lakshmi Vandhachu since 2016. In between she also does brief roles on big screen, though nowadays she is not active in cinema. Bhooloham and Naan Than Bala are her last releases. She has also done Telugu movies.
