Shubra Aiyappa Biography

Shubra Aiyappa is a popular actress of south Indian cinema who appears in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu language films. Telugu film Prathinidhi marked her big screen debut in 2014 and later she went on to appear in movies like Sagaptham (2015) and the latest Vajrakaya (2015), which opened to positive reviews. But she had a minor role in the movie. Yavvanam Oka Fantasy – is her upcoming Telugu flick. She is a self-confessed travel junkie, is addicted to belly dancing when she visited Istanbul most recently. She also took training in this dance form for one and a half months.

Shubra Aiyappa is a resident of Bangalore. She schooled at Baldwin Girls High School. She started modelling at a younger age and has also appeared in television commercials. She made her T-Town debut with Prathinidhi, where she portrayed a journalist. She played female lead opposite Nara Rohit. The movie was produced by J Samba Siva Rao under Sudha cinemas and was Prashanth Mandava’s maiden venture as a director. Earlier she was approached for the movie, Rey (2015), directed by YVS Chowdary. She was offered the role after the director saw her portfolio. But she opted out of the project. Otherwise it would have been her debut movie. The film bombed at the box office.

She appeared in the first 15 minutes of choreographer-turned-director A Harsha's Vajrakaaya. The Movie that marked her sandalwood debut starred Shiva Rajkumar, Karunya Ram and Nabha Natesh in lead roles. The movie exceptionally well at the box office. She was seen in a song sequence pictured on her and Shivarajkumar and the song was sung by Dhanush.
