Shubhangi Atre Poorey is a popular actress associated with Hindi television network. She played female lead Kasturi Chawla in the popular series, Kasturi aired on Star Plus during 2007-2009. In 2016 she was roped in for the much loved character of Angoori Bhabhi in the popular series, ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ after Shilpa Shinde exit the show. Kasturi, Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Chidiya Ghar and Kasauti Zindagi Ke are some of the popular shows she did earlier. She also played a negative character in Rajan Shahi's Havan.

Her maiden name is Shubhangi Atre. She was born and brought up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She holds an MBA degree. She entered showbiz after her studies. She is married to Piyush Poorey and has a daughter named Ashi. It was just an accidental photo shoot which paved her way to modelling industry and then to television. Aatre rose to fame with her female lead role in Balaji TV show Kasturi (2007) aired on Star Plus. She also played the female lead Preeti in Do Hanson Ka Jodaa which aired on NDTV Imagine in 2010. She also got noticed for playing the role of Palchin in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’.

She is a trained Kathak dancer who has been practising the dance form for last 20 years or so. Her fitness matra include her dance practice and cardio exercises combined with spirituality and yoga. She medicates daily. She loves cooking and to spent time with her daughter. Recently she was seen in a cameo appearance for the TV show, Gulmohar Grand. She played a supporting role in the TV show - Adhuri Kahaani Hamari. She replaced Shilpa Shinde for the popular show, ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ most recently. Earlier she replaced Shilpa for the show, Chidiya Ghar which proved successful.
