Shruti Seth Biography

Shruti Seth is an entrepreneur, model, film actress, anchor and television actress. She was a successful VJ also. She is married to film director Danish Aslam, famous for working as an assistant in many Saif Ali Khan movies like Tara ram pum, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Being Cyrus and Salaam Namaste. Fanaa and Swadesh are other projects. Seth has been a successful VJ in channel V. She has hosted First day First show and Junglee Jukebox for Channel V.

Seth was born on December 18, 1977 in Mumbai. She holds a degree in Economics and Commerce. Seth started her career as a guest relation executive at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay. By chance, she entered modelling industry. She signed projects to earn a little bit pocket money. During 1990’s and 2000’s, she appeared in ads like Clean and Clear moisturiser, Mrs. Marino Hair Softener, Stayfree Secure, Dominos, TATA Home Finance, Ponds Talc, Frooti, Lifebuoy Soap, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, LG and Airtel. Through ads, she became a popular face.

 
She debut television with Mann in DD Metro. Character role played by her was Khushi. She entered movies in the year 2003 with the movie - Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II. She has appeared in a few Bollywood films in character roles – Fanaa, Rajneethi, Slumdog millionaire and Ta Ra Rum Pum need special mention. She is best known for her role as Fatima "Fatty", Kajol’s best friend in Fanaa. Her popular television serials are Rishta.Com, The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir, Shararat, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr and Dhak dhak in Dubai.

 
She has also anchored many hit shows of Indian television. She became most popular with Comedy circus where she anchored Comedy Circus 1, Comedy Circus 2, Comedy Circus 20 – 20, Kahani Comedy Circus Ki, Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe and Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali.
