Shriya Jha Biography

Shriya Jha is a promising young actress who works in movies as well as television. She is also a successful model and TV anchor. Till now she has acted in Telugu, Odiya & Bengali language films. She is the daughter of well-known television actress, Amardeep Jha, of 3-Idiots fame (Sharman Joshi’s mother). As a television actress, shriya is best known for the show, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Angan Hoga on Sahara One, where she played the lead role of Angana Raichand opposite Aamir Ali. Currently she plays a supporting role in the popular show, Nimki Mukhiya aired on Star Bharat.

Shriya Jha hails from Delhi. She was born on 10 June 1992 and belongs to a family with entertainment and art background. She is the daughter of well-known TV and film personality, Amardeep Jha, who has been a part of several memorable and hit TV shows playing elderly characters. Shriya schooled from Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. She got her first break to acting through television shows and later a few films. Uttaran in 2008 was her first TV show, and she marked her debut on celluloid through 2009 Oriya film, Shatru Sanghar.

Swimming and painting are her hobbies, apart from acting. Aishwarya rai is her favourite actress. Rajma Chawal is her favourite food. She gets nervous quickly. She has appeared in one Telugu movie, Geetha. Luchakali, Ama Bhitare Kichi Achi and Shatru Sanghar are her Telugu works. In her debut television work Uttaran, she played the grey shaded role of Chameli. She repeated a negative shaded role in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se too as Madhavi.
