Shriram Iyer Biography

Shriram Iyer is an Indian playback singer and music composer associated with Bollywood films. He is lead singer of the fusion band "OM the Fusion Band". He rendered his voice for the opening theme song for the singing reality show of Zee TV show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. Shriram Iyer is quite successful as a performer on stage and has performed live in many major cities of India and abroad, as a member of his band. Till noe he has done over 2000 shows in India and across the world. As a playback singer, he has rendered his voice for Bollywood movies – Iqbal, Udaan, No One Killed Jessica, Shor in the City etc.

 

Shriram Iyer is best known as a performing artist, than a playback singer. He concentrates most on his live shows, and has sung in only less number of films. His band also composed two songs for cricket film, Iqbal in 2005. He rendered his voice for their composition in the movie, and both were solo versions. The songs were Maula and Tum Tana. Some of his popular Bollywood songs include - Aali Re and Dilli Dilli from No One Killed Jessica and also Dheem Dheem Tana from Shor in the City. All these three films were critically acclaimed, well noticed and became box office hits too. For the same reasons, his songs also got noticed.

 

Apart from composing songs for Bollywood films, the band has also composed songs for TV shows such as Shabash India, Titan Antakshari, HERO HONDA Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, L'il Champs and Rock-N-Roll Family and Zinda dil. He also rendered his voice for these title songs. He won RAPA AWARD for the song composed for Shabash India.
