Shreekumar Ganesh Biography

Shreekumar Ganesh is a popular Tamil television actor known for playing lead roles. He played lead role in a series of popular serials like Uravugal, Idhayam and Bommalattam on Sun TV; and also for Naanal, Pillai Nila and Thalayanai Pookal for other Tamil channels. He has also appeared in many Tamil movies, playing character roles. In 2016 he played the police inspector character in Vijay’s action thriller film Theri. Shree is the son of popular music director Sankar Ganesh. Shree starred in Zee Tamil family serial Thalayanai Pookal, aired during 2016-2018. He has acted in more than a dozen of television serials, mostly playing leading role, and currently a very popular figure of Tamil small screen.

Shreekumar Ganesh, best known as Shreekumar was born on February 1, 1978 in Chennai. He was born to famous film music composer Sankar Ganesh. Though his father is into the field of music, Shreekumar chose acting over music and succeeded in this field. He his co-star Shamitha had married in 2009 and the couple is blessed with two kids. To pursue a career in acting, Shreekumar started appearing in auditions for movies and TV shows, and landed into supporting roles during the early phase of his career.

He was seen in a supporting role for the movie, Bambara Kannaley and also TV series - Ahalya, Bhandham, Megala, Sivasakthi and Rudhra since mid-2000s before he bagged his first lead role in Kalaignar TV’s Naanal in 2008. There was no turning back after that and he went on to become one of the biggest stars of Tamil small screen. He was also seen in Tamil movies – Rangoon, Theri, Magane En Marumagane, Saroja, Bambara Kannaley etc. He mostly concentrates on to his TV roles than films.
