Shree Narayan Singh is a film director and editor associated with Bollywood, best known for Akshay Kumar starrer, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017). The film was a huge blockbuster, and became the first film of Akshay Kumar’s career to enter the 300 crore club. Narayan Singh was nominated at Filmfare awards in the best director category, and the film also received a nomination for ‘Best Film’. Apart from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Narayan Singh has directed one film, Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai in 2012, starring newcomers - Aditya Samanta and Nazia Hussain in lead roles. Batti Gul Meter Chalu is his upcoming flick, starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, and the movie is expected to release this year.

Shree Narayan Singh was born on 11 April 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He served as an editor in film industry since 2008, and has worked on box office hits and acclaimed projects, A Wednesday (2008), Special 26 (2013), M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Rustom (2016) etc. Don Muthu Swami in 2008 was his first movie as an editor. He edited two of the super hit films of Akshay Kumar, Special 26 and Special 26, and later directed him in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha too. He marked his directorial debut with Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai in 2012. After the flop of his debut flick, he continued editing in Bollywood movies.

As a film editor, he owns a very successful career in Bollywood. Many of his works such as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Rustom etc turned out to be blockbusters. After Toilet: Ek Prem Katha happened in 2017, he edited the movie, Missing starring Tabu, and this thriller received positive reviews for its tight editing. In his upcoming flick, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid Kapoor reunites with Shraddha Kapoor after Haider happened a few years back.
