Nadeem – Shravan has been an indispensible part of Bollywood during 1990’s who gave new direction to Bollywood music. The kings of melodies who conquered millions of hearts with numerous melodies from Aashique to Dosthi joined hands in hands during late 70’s, yet they took one decade or so, to get the big break in Bollywood in the name ‘Aashique’. After that, they never looked back and began to deliver hits one after another till a temporary break occurred in 1997, when Nadeem was summoned for Gulshan Kumar murder case.

It’s not easy to list the best compositions of Nadeem Shravan’s career. Saajan, Kasoor, Raja, Raja Hindusthani, Saat rang ke sapne, Pardes, Deewana, Gumnaam, Raaz, Dil hai tumhara, Jeena sirf mere liye and Diljale are only among a few of their chart busters. After a lot of struggles, when they got success in the industry it didn’t sustain more than 7 years and within those 7 years, they gave enough melodies that will be remembered my music lovers till the end of music world.

This success pair has attained a hat-trick from 1990 with the movies – Aashique, Saajan and Deewana, cementing themselves as the best music directors of Bollywood. They got it for the fourth time for Raja Hindusthani and was at the peak of the success with the melodious tunes of pardes next year, that Gulshan Kumar, their mentor got murdered. When Nadeem couldn’t return back to his mother country, Shravan continued to give music under the same banner. Dhadkan, Raaz and Kassoor were composed during this period. The music duo has also been nominated for movies like Dhadkan, Raaz, Pardes, Raja and Hum hain rahi pyar ke.  

Other hits of this musical pair include Jeet, Judai, Dil ka kya kasoor, Barsaat, Saajan chale sasural, Rang, Dil ka rishta, Hum ho gaye aapke, Aa ab laut chalein, Sapne sajan ke, Tadipar, Damini, Dil tera aashiq, Salaami, Gaddar, Maharaja, Mohabbat, Zamana deewana, Jeena sirf tere liye and Agni Sakshi. Nadeem is now doing solo compositions, though not has been able to succeed till now. He has also started perfume and bag company of his own. According to recent news, Nadeem Shravan will be composing music for the sequel of 1991 blockbuster movie Saajan. Let us wait for some melodious surprises from this lovely pair of Bollywood, whose contributions will be remembered for many years to come.
