Shirish Sharavanan Biography

Shirish Sharavanan is a newcomer actor associated with Tamil films. He marked his film debut at the age of 22 with the movie Metro in 2016, directed by Anandakrishnan. The movie starred Shrish in lead role and also featured Bobby Simha and Sendrayan in the key roles. As per latest biz he is to play antogonist role in its Telugu version. Since the movie got released, he is nicknamed Metro Shirish. The movie was given ‘A’ certificate by censor board for its violent content, yet received favourable reviews from critics on release. The movie has already been made in Kannada language, though Shirish Sharavanan is not a part of this project.

Shirish Sharavanan was born on 31st May 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He schooled at the Gill Adarsh Higher Secondary School, and later did his graduation in Visual Communication in Loyola College, Chennai. He was interested in acting since childhood, and has taken acting course from Kalairani Acting School. He learnt dance, and got trained in fights and action from the acting school prior to his debut in films.

He met Ananda Krishnan, director of Metro at college, who suggested him to attend the auditions of the film role. It was the director’s debut flick, and Shrish was finalized for its lead role. Thus he marked his film debut at the age of 22.His notable performance in the movie was well appreciated by critics, and he also won Filmfare award for Best Male Debut-South. Raja Ranguski – a crime thriller directed by Dharanidharan is his upcoming flick. Shooting has been finished and is slated to release this year. He has also signed a village based entertainer titled Pistha.
