Shikha Singh Biography

Shikha Singh is a popular television actress of Hindi soaps known for supporting roles. Associated with television industry since 2007, she is best known for playing the negative role of Alia in the hit TV show Kumkum Bhagya. Her supporting roles of Amba Sangwan in Na Aana Is Des Laado aired on Colors TV in 2011-2012, and Shikhandini in the mythological series, Mahabharata on Star Plus in 2013 are other noted roles. She was recent seen in the television series, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do aired on Sony Television since 2015. She played the supporting role of Shabina Khan in the series, and the show was pulled off in January 2016 due to low TRP ratings. She is engaged to her boyfriend Karan, a pilot and is planning to tie the knot soon.

Shikha was first seen as Cadet Akriti Bhatt in Left Right Left. She got noticed with her first role itself and till now she is active in the television scene playing numerous character roles. Meri Doli Tere Angana, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Phulwa, Adaalat, Sasural Simar Ka, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do etc are some of her noted roles. Currently she appears in Kumkum Bhagya as Aliya Mehra since 2014.

Shikha Singh hails from Chandigarh. She was born on 7 February 1986. She completed graduation in Economics from MCM College, Chandigarh. Shikha started modelling during her college days and she won Miss Chandigarh title in 2006. She moved to Mumbai the following year and made her television debut the same year itself. She was not intentional to start an acting career. However it just happened to her. She has also appeared in a few music videos and TV shows as a contestant too.
