Sheetal Menon Biography

Sheetal Menon is a successful Indian model and actress who works in Bollywood. She has played character roles in Shah Rukh Khan starrer - My Name Is Khan (2011) and Bejoy Nambiar’s highly praised film - Shaitan (2011). Most recently she was seen in Prashanth starrer Tamil film – Saagasam released in 2016. In 2015 December, she got married to director of highly appreciated movies - Bejoy Nambiar, with whom she has worked in Shaitan. Quite co-incidence, both Bejoy Nambiar and Sheetal Menon are of Kerala origin, though both are associated with Bollywood film industry, and their wedding ceremony was conducted in Kerala in typical Kerala Hindu traditional marriage style.

Sheetal Menon hails from Kerala. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She started her professional career as a model, before her foray to films. She entered modelling industry as a model with the agency headed by Atul Kasbekar. Acting bug hit her and she joined Anupam Kher’s course, Actor Prepares, while she was doing her final year at college. In 2008 she got her first break to Bollywood. By that time she was a successful model. Love triangle Bhram – An Illusion was her debut flick and she played lead role opposite two supermodels who stepped into Bollywood - Dino Morea and Milind Soman. However the movie was a commercial failure. Later she played several supporting roles on silver screen.

The Desire, My Name is Khan, Shaitan, Julai, David etc are some of her Bollywood flicks later. She met Bejoy Nambiar while filming for Rahu, and fell in love. Bejoy is a divorcee who was earlier married to Juhi Babbar, daughter of actor Raj Babbar. They got married in last week of 2015, just before the release of his film Wazir.
