Shashi Ranjan Biography

Shashi Ranjan is a well-known Hindi film and television actor, best known for portraying character roles. As a film actor, he is best known for his works in Dreamgirl, Tumhari Salu, The Legend of Michael Mishra etc. Tere Mere Sapne for Star Plus in 2009 was his first show for television, and he came to limelight through crime investigation series like Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India. He is an extremely talented actor with years of experience in theatre. Till now he has appeared in more than 80 TV ads and hence a familiar face to Indian audience. He has work experience with eminent theatre personalities like Mohan Maharishi and many others in the city of Delhi.

Shashi Ranjan was born in Sitamarhi on 29 September 1987. His father is a clerk in the district collectorate office in Madhubani. In fact his acting career also started in the small town of Madhubani where his father worked. He was interested in acting right from childhood days, and started his acting career during his school days. Later he moved to Delhi, where he worked with many theatre groups and eminent theatre personalities. Apart from acting he scripted and directed plays, and also conducted theatre workshops.

Later he shifted to Mumbai, and started appearing in TV ads. It gave him first break to mini screen through Tere Mere Sapne in 2009, followed by several brief roles. He gained recognition as an actor through Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India. It also grabbed him film opportunities. He was seen in less-heard movies like Yahan Sabhi Gyani Hain, Robinhood Ke Pote, Jilla Top, Tarangan etc. Tumhari Salu gave him the first major break as an actor.
