Shashi Mittal is a successful producer associated with television shows. She is the co-founder and director of Shashi Sumeet Productions, which produces films and television shows. Her husband Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal is the founder director of this production house, launched in the year 2009. Shashi Mittal also writes scripts for TV shows. Shashi Sumeet Productions currently produces the shows - Dil Se Dil Tak for Colour TV, Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji for Star Plus, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai and Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya for SET India, and all these shows were premiered in the year 2017.

Shashi Mittal was born on March 4, 1970 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Her childhood and youth days were spent in Ahmedabad, where she completed her schooling and graduation. She married Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal, who was then known as a writer and director of the industry. The couple together started the film production house, Shashi Sumeet Productions in 2009. Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal serves as the founder director of this production house, while Shashi is the co-founder and director. Shashi also writes scripts for their television productions, an interest she developed only after marriage. In fact the couple made their dentity first as writers, with popular Hindi television shows like Sinndoor, Woh Rehnewali Mehlo Ki, Betiyan etc before they forayed into serial production.

Their shows such as Diya Aur Baati Hum, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai, Dream Girl — Ek Ladki Deewani Si, Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi, Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, Punar Vivah and Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed remained highly successful and received high TRP ratings too. In 2013 they ventured into film production and produced the Marathi movie, Rangkarmi. A successful female producer of Indian TV industry, she produces television shows for various channels like Starplus, Colors TV, Zee TV, Imagine TV and Life OK.
