Sharmila Nicollet Biography 
Sharmila Nicollet is an Indo French professional golfer who started her professional career in 2009 at the age of 18. She ranks number one among Indian players. She is the youngest Indian golfer to qualify for Ladies European Tour and the second Indian to earn a full card on the Ladies European Tour. Before Sharmila, it was Smriti Mehra in the 1990’s who earned a full card on the Ladies European Tour. Within the short period of her career, she has already won many titles like winner of Hero-KGA tournament in 2012 and 11 wins on the Women's Golf Association of India. .She is stylish and also a glam factor of Indian golf at present.
She was born on 12 Mar 1991 in Bangalore to French father Marc and Banglorean mother, Surekha. But her parents got separated and she lived with her mother. Her mother owns a perfume store - Padmini Aroma Ltd in Bangalore. She completed her schooling from Bangalore and is at present doing graduation privately. Nicollet pursued golf at the age of 11 and won her first tournament when she was 15. She was a swimming champion during her younger days and has won national sub-junior swimming champ several years. She was a state level athlete too, who has been credited to a few records.
She was introduced to the world of Golf by her cousins who played the game. Initially she took it as fun. But later on, she grew interest in this game and took it seriously leaving behind her interests in swimming and athletics. Slowly India witnessed the building up of an impressive amateur career by this sportswoman. She ranked first in the junior level for the year 2005 - 2006. She is the youngest Lady Golfer to win the All India Amateur Championship in 2007-2008. She joined WGAI in 2009 and has gained International experience in the recent times.
