Shardul Thakur Biography 
Shardul Thakur is a young cricketer batsman who plays for team India. He plays first-class cricket for Mumbai, and currently associated with Chennai Super Kings in IPL. He was a former member of the Kings XI Punjab, Rising Pune Supergaints and India A cricket team. He made his international debut in the ODI played on 31 August 2017 v Sri Lanka. Though Shardul Thakur had a great debut as India were able to win and he picked up his first international wickets for the country, his wearing of jersey no: 10 for the debut match previously worn by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar didn’t go well with Sachin fans, and it made twitteratis very angry who trolled the whole event. Later BCCI decided not to use Jersey no: 10 in any form of cricket, as a gesture of respect towards Sachin Tendulkar.
Shardul Thakur was born on 16 October 1991 in Palghar, Maharashtra. His full name is Shardul Narendra Thakur. He plays as Right-hand batsman and Right-arm fast-medium bowler for his team. Since school days he was known to be a striker to his team, who had the ability to hit six sixers in an over. He made his First-class debut against Rajasthan cricket team at Jaipur in November, 2012. But the season was not great for him. In 2012–13 Ranji season, he took 27 wickets and in the following season, 48 wickets. He took eight wickets for Mumbai against the Saurashtra cricket team in Ranji finals, and led his team to victory.
Very soon he earned opportunity to play for team India. He made his international debut in the ODI played on 31 August 2017 v Sri Lanka. He was also a team member of India’s team for South African Tour in February 2018. He played his first IPL season in the year 2014 for Kings XI Punjab, followed by Delhi Daredevils, Chennai super kings and Rising Pune Supergiants.
