Shailesh Datar Biography

Shailesh Datar is a noted actor associated with television screen. He is also a film and stage actor who began his career with Marathi theatre and television. He is most known for playing role of Narada in the popular mythological TV series, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. His appearance in Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo (2010-2012) was also well appreciated. Main Teri Parchhain Hoon, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, Jhansi Ki Rani, Unch Maaza Zoka, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka are some of his noted appearances up-to-date.

 

Shailesh Datar is a talented actor who started his career with Marathi plays and later television. He also played character roles for a few movies. He is associated with television since 2005 and has completed one decade in the entertainment industry. He gained popularity playing the role of Moropant Tambe, the father of Rani Lakshmibai in TV series, Jhansi Ki Rani (2009 -2011). He shot to fame essaying the role of Narada in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev in 2012. He has excelled in both family dramas and other shows. Yet he gained popularity through the mythological and historic roles he played onscreen. He played the character Tulsidas in the historic series, Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap.

 

His early life was spent in Nagpur, Maharashtra where he completed his education. He was a part of Marathi stage plays since then. His career began with Marathi serials and stage shows and his talent and hard work earned him a better position in entertainment industry now. As a stage actor, he is best known for his role as Ravsaheb, in Marathi play Barrister, written by Jaywant Dalvi and directed by Vikram Gokhale. At this point of time, this talented actor wants to experiment himself with variety of roles and is open to negative roles as well.
