Satyapal Chandra Biography

Satyapal Chandra is a young writer, director, screenwriter, lyricist and motivational speaker from Gaya, Bihar. He writes books in English. His novels belonging to different genres are quite popular. He hails from a remote village of Bihar, Malhari. He deeply believes in the ideology of Liberal Humanism and for the same reason, he does not link himself to any religion and treats himself as an atheist. Yet he is deeply influenced by Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism. He started his literal career in 2011 with the publishing of his first novel – The most eligible bachelor, which was sold over 10,000 copies. He penned 11 novels in less than 2 years.

 

He was born in a poor family of remote village Malhari on November 1, 1987. Ravi Shankar is his real name. Since childhood he had to face many cruel faces of society including violence and poverty. For the same reason he faced depression since his younger age.  He finished his higher secondary education in Gaya and Hindi was his medium of studies till higher secondary. He studied Urdu and later moved to Delhi, discontinuing his studies. He did different odd jobs at Delhi under many companies and got interested in learning English for the first time. He completed graduation from School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.

 

His first novel was published in 2011 – The most eligible bachelor. A crazy careless life, Dreams revenge and confessions, For your beautiful dreams, Golden angel and the darkness of midnight, My life is for you, Women’s desire and An innocent traitor are his published books since 2011. All after you are my destiny – published in 2013 is his latest book. His books focus on problems of youth including unemployment, poverty, crime, casteism and corruption.
