Satyadev Kancharana Biography

Satyadev Kancharana is a Tollywood film actor who works in Bollywood as well. He played the pivot role of Indian Sonar Operator in Hindi-Telugu bilingual, The Ghazi Attack, the movie which won many awards including National film awards in 2018. He is known for playing memorable supporting and character roles onscreen. Satya ventured into feature films with Mr. Perfect in 2011 in a minor role, and appeared in small roles for the next couple of years in films like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Attarintiki Daredi and Mukunda. Maine Pyaar Kiya was his first major role. He is to play a key role in Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan starrer Bollywood film, Thugs of Hindustan slated to release in 2018.

His full name is Kancharana Vani Venkata Satya Dev, and his mother tongue is Telugu. Satya hails from Visakhapatnam. He graduated in Computer Science engineering from MVGR College of Engineering, Vizianagaram in the year 2008. During early days, he directed a few short films while at Visakhapatnam. He entered into films in the year 2011, playing a small role in Mr. Perfect. He got opportunity to work in a few more films. But most of those roles were not so significant till Maine Pyaar Kiya happened. This role got noticed, though the film met with box office failure. Since then he received meaty supporting roles in Telugu screen.

He was later seen in The Ghazi Attack, Rogue, Kshanam, Appatlo Okadundevadu, Mukunda, Asura, Mana Oori Ramayanam etc, and turned to a busy actor. His role as Rajeev Thakur, Indian Sonar Operator in The Ghazi Attack earned him an important role in one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year, Thugs of Hindustan.
