Satinder Sartaaj Biography 
Satinder Sartaaj is a popular Punjabi celebrity, known as an actor, singer, lyricist and poet. His full name is Satinderpal Singh Saini. As a singer, he shot to fame with his song, "Sai”. Currently one of the popular Punjabi performers, he performs in live shows across the world. He also knows to play the music instrument harmonium. Associated with music scene since 2009, some of his popular albums include - Tere Qurbaan (2009), Sartaaj (2010), Cheerey Wala Sartaaj (2011), Sartaaj Live (2012), Afsaaney Sartaaj De (2013), Rangrez-The Poet of Colors (2014) and the recent - HAMZA – A Sufiana Ecstasy (2015). Through his performances he takes Sufism and folk across the world.
Sartaaj was born and brought up in a sleepy village Bajrawar, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He completed his schooling from his local government schools of his rural place. Since age 8, he started performing for school plays. Later he completed his graduation in Music with Honours from Government College, Hoshiarpur. He also studied Sangeet Visharad, a five-year diploma in classical music from Jalandhar. He also holds a doctorate in music (MPhil and PhD in Sufi music from Panjab University). He is one among the rare Punjabi singers who have a strong educational background. During his college days he also started writing poetry. He married his girlfriend Gauri in 2010.
During his early days he has participated in many music competitions and reality show contests. He participated in Zee Antakshari show, hosted by Annu Kapoor. He was the first runner-up in the 24th All-India Light Vocal Festival. He released his first album, Tere Qurbaan in 2009. Since then he is in limelight for all these days. Till now he has released 7 albums. Today he is promoting Punjabi Sufi music among music lovers.
