Sardara Singh Biography 
Sardara Singh is an Indian sportsman who plays the game of hockey. He serves as the captain of the Hyderabad Sultan team and was the captain of the Chandigarh Dynamos in the Premier Hockey League tournament.
Sardara Singh was born on 15th July 1986 in Santnagar in Rania Tehsil in Sirsa District of Haryana. His father’s name is Gurnam Singh and he has one brother Didar Singh who is also playing hockey for Haryana team and Chandigarh Dynamos team. Sardara Singh is currently employed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Haryana.
When he served as the captain of the Indian National Hockey team in the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament 2008, he got the pride of being the youngest ever captain. He was hailed as the Best Player of the Tournament in the 2012 sultan Azlan Shah Cup in which India won the bronze medal and got the same reward in the 2012 Summer Olympics Qualifiers and 2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and in both them Indian team won gold medal.
He was a part of the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament held at Malaysia in 2006 in which Indian team won bronze. He participated in the Commonwealth Games 2006 at Melbourne and BDO Hockey Champions Challenge 2007 and won bronze medal in that. He also played for the Hockey Asia Cup in 2007 at Chennai and won gold medal and for Four Nations International Tournament at Germany and scored bronze.
He participated in the 7th Junior Challenge Open Men’s hockey held at Poland in 2006 and got second place and in the Indo-Pak series 2006. He was given Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2012 in recognition of his sporting excellence.
