Sapna Bhavnani Biography

Sapna Bhavnani is a Mumbai based celebrity hairstylist. She gained public attention after her participation in Bigg Boss season 6. She is a feminist, who regular remains in headline for her sharp tongued words about celebrities, mostly related to Bollywood. She also writes columns on fashion, and entertainment. She is also interested in photography.

Sapna Bhavnani hails from Bandra, Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was born on January 5, 1971. She was brilliant in school academics, but had tomboy behavior. But later she got interested in playing pranks, motor cycle rides etc. A very naughty child, she used chloroform on her father during nights, so that she could sneak out late with boys of her school. But she shared an amazing relationship with her father. She lost her father at the age of 18. The family faced financial issues after that, and Sapna dropped her college studies.

She moved along with her aunt to US, where she did odd jobs to support her family. She worked as a waitress at an Italian restaurant, but managed to complete her management studies there. She tried fashion designing at this point of time. She developed an interest in hairdressing and took up this profession, at the age of around 30.

In 2002 when she came back to India after 6 years for a visit, she met a man whom she briefly dated while at Mumbai. When he said that he has been waiting her for years, the words touched her. So she left everything she had at Mumbai, including her secure job, career and boyfriend, and started a life afresh in Mumbai. But things didn’t work. But she never left Mumbai and decided to stay here.

Sapna initially did job as a hairdresser for a salon called Juice, and also worked as a Bollywood stylist. Slowly she gained recognition in the field. She has done hair styling for almost all leading Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and also cricketers like Virat Kohli.

She divorced noted model Sameer Malhotra. She had numerous love relationships such as Arijit Dutta and VJ Yudhishtir. In the recent past she created a lot of buzz after posting a lip lock picture with her Bigg Boss co-star VJ Bani.
