Sanjeev Kapoor is one of the popular faces of Indian television. He is the celebrated chef of India who receives same treatment of a film personality. He is a celebrated Indian chef and entrepreneur. His cookery show, Khana Khazana is the longest running cookery show in Asia. It broadcasts in 120 countries and in 2010 had more than 500 million viewers, indeed a unique achievement. He launched his "Food Food channel", in January 2011. He appears in several television ads as well. In all those ads, he appears as Sanjeev Kapoor himself and both of those ads are food or detergent related. He is a chef, host as well as an author of many cookery books.

Sanjeev Kapoor was born on 10 April 1964 in Ambala, Haryana. But he spent his childhood days in Delhi. He took Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Pusa, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition in the year 1984 to pursue career in Hotel Management. When he took diploma in Hotel Management, it was not a big course. Yet through his hard work and determination, he became successful and of course, an iconic figure in this segment. No doubt, he is the most popular chef of India in the past 20 years or so.

He worked in many hotels and later he became the Executive Chef of the Centaur Hotel in Mumbai. He is the most celebrated chef of India at present. He has received Best Executive Chef of India Award by H & FS and the Mercury Gold Award at Geneva, Switzerland by IFCA. Singapore Airlines recruited him as one of the members of its "International Culinary Panel". Sanjeev Kapoor's Khana Khazana is his line of ready-to-cook meals. His name is used as a brand name for many franchises for restaurants all over India. In the super success Master Chef program of Star Plus, he is a celebrity judge of its third season.
