Sanjeev (South Indian Actor) Biography

Sanjeev is a south Indian film actor who has appeared in Malayalam and Tamil movies. He made his film debut through 2008 Malayalam movie, Apoorva, and later moved to Tamil films. He made a noted performance in his debut Tamil film - Kulir 100°, which received negative response from critics. He played male lead opposite Riya Bamniyal in this family drama. Sagakkal, Neeyum Naanum and Kurumbukkara Pasanga are his other releases, where he played male lead. He played male lead in Nanbargal Gavanathirku, the maiden production of V. Sahadevan’s Green Channel Entertainment. He was paired opposite Manishajith, who played Sarath’s daughter in Gambeeram. Uyirukku Uyiraaga is his latest release.

 

Sanjeev was born and brought up in Coimbatore where he completed his studies. He schooled at Jaycee Higher Secondary School. He completed his engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He is a silent boy at home and has one elder brother. He is a dancer who studied dance from a school at Coimbatore and later started his career as a professional dancer. He performed at many stage shows as a professional dancer. He doesn’t have any acting experience before.

 

He reached Chennai for the first time for audition for a dancing reality show at Kalaignar TV. He got selected for the show and appeared in a few episodes when he got a call from a production manager to do auditions for Anita Udeep’s film - Kulir 100°. He attended the auditions and got selected for the lead role. His debut Tamil film - Kulir 100° released in 2009 was a critical failure. Since then he is associated with low budget movies like Neeyum Naanum and Saghakkal.
