Sanjay Jagdale Biography 
Sanjay Jagdale is a former bowler associated with domestic cricket team. A former member of the Selection Committee, he has also served as a cricket coach and secretary of BCCI during the period August 2011 to 31 May 2013. He resigned the post following the corruptions of IPL in 2013. Madhavsinh Madhavrao Jagdale – former Indian cricket team selector is his father. Although he has played 53 first class matches and played only domestic games, he is best known as a powerful administrator. As a National selector he is also credited to spotting talents like V. V. S Laxman – one of the finest test batsmen of team India, Narendra Hirwani, Murali Karthik, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Sridharan Sriram, Vipin Acharya and a few more.
His full name is Sanjay Madansingh Jagdale. He was born on 22 September 1950 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh as the son of Madhavsinh Madhavrao Jagdale, former Indian selector. He played domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh till 1983 and later started his career as a selector in the world of Indian cricket, and also moved to administration field. As a cricketer he has only a moderate record and has never made his debut to Indian cricket team. As a player of domestic cricket he played 53 matches for Madhya Pradesh and scored 2077 runs at a batting average of 26.62. He took 2 centuries and 9 half centuries.
In 1983 he retired from domestic cricketer and later became a selector. He is credited to spotting many great talents of Indian cricket, the most notable ones being V. V. S Laxman and Narendra Hirwani. As a member of senior selection committee, he served during the period - October 2000 - September 2004 and November 2005 to present. He also served as Indian team’s manager during 2007 World Cup and 2005 tour to Sri Lanka.
