Sanjay Jadhav Biography

Sanjay Jadhav film director and cinematographer, associated with Bollywood and Marathi cinema. He is a seasonal actor too. 2013 film, Duniyadari is his major hit as a film director. He has also produced a few Marathi serials like Dil Dosti Duniyadari, Anjali, Freshers, Duheri etc. He has directed only Marathi movies up-to-date, while he has worked as a cinematographer in Bollywood, for movies such as Mumbai Meri Jaan, C Kkompany, Khichdi: The Movie etc. Sanjay Jadhav is predominantly associated with Marathi cinema. He also served as a celebrity judge of reality show, 2 MAD aside Amruta Khanvilkar and Umesh Jadhav.

Sanjay was born on 18 July 1970 in Maharashtra. He started his career in Marathi film industry in the first half of 2000s in the role of cinematographer. Savarkhed: Ek Gaon in 2004 was his first flick, followed by Saatchya Aat Gharat, Dombivali Fast, Aai Shappath..! and a string of movies in different languages. He did the camera work of Tamil film, Evano Oruvan released in 2007. As a film director, he marked his debut with Marathi film, Checkmate one year later. Since then Sanjay Jadhav has entertained the audiences with his films of various genres over the past decade. From Checkmate (2008) to Ye Re Ye Re Paisa released in 2018, the director has left a mark of his own.

In 2018, he debuted as an actor too with Ajay Naik’s Hostel Days. He played a hostel warden in this flick. He then played Irfan in Lagna Mubarak. The director is currently enjoying his stint as an actor, and may accept more roles in future. He loves to work in other directors’ films too, and never wants to interfere in their work.
