Sanjay Bharathi Biography

Sanjay Bharathi is an upcoming actor of Tamil film industry and he belongs to the third generation of cine artists. He is the son of veteran filmmaker and character artist - Santhana Bharathi and grandson of M. R. Santhanam, an actor who has produced several Sivaji hits including Pasamalar. He was launched to film scene through 2012 film Naanga directed by Selva, where he was one among the ensemble of newcomers. He played the role of a courier boy, paired with Aishwarya. The movie received mixed reviews at box office. The movie was directed by TV actor-turned-director Vijay Adhiraj.

 

Later Sanjay found success in supporting and character roles. He played a nerdy scientist role in Suriya starring Maattrraan. In S. J. Suryah’s Isai, he played the role of a business manager. Puthagam, Jeeva and Jannal Oram are his other releases till now.      Kootathil Oruthan is his upcoming movie, slated to release in 2016. The movie directed by Gnanavel also stars Ashok Selvan, Priya Anand and Samuthirakani in lead roles.

 

Sanjay was born into a third generation of actors. He belongs to Rajakkapatti of Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu in a filmy family. Sanjay in a national level table tennis player and has won many medals. He completed graduation from Loyola College and joined a professional Tamil theatre group to hone his acting skills, prior to his entry in films. He works as marketing head for AGS Cinema’s multiplex division and currently doing selected film roles, mostly supporting roles. On a birthday eve, Sanjay who was referred by actress Trisha Krishnan donated his organs to ‘Donate Life India’ organization. His wife Rajini also pledged organs to the organization following Sanjay.
