Sangtar Biography 
Sangtar Heer, shortly known as Sangtar is a Punjabi pop singer. He is also known as a music composer, lyricist and poet. Successful Punjabi singers and artists - Manmohan Waris is his elder brother and Kamal Heer, his younger brother. Heer brothers are successful in Punjabi folk and pop music and have toured worldwide with their successful stage show, Punjabi Virsa. In 2004, with the success of "Nachiye Majajne", the three brothers tour worldwide and now also conducts live shows abroad titled, Punjabi Vista every year. Apart from his brothers, he has also toured with Punjabi artists like Gurpreet Ghuggi and till now has toured Europe, Canada, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
His full name is Sangtar Singh Heer and he was born on October 9, 1973 in Halluwal, Punjab. He entered Punjabi music in the early 1990’s, alongside his brothers - Manmohan Waris and Kamal Heer. He started as a composer and in association with his brothers, worked for several private albums. Gaairan Naal Peenghan Jhotdiye, Hasdi De Phul Kirde, Masti-Kanthay Vala, Balle Ni Balle, Nachiye Majajene, Kamli, Husn Da Jadu, Bhotu Shah Ji Vihle Ne, Akhian, Dil Di Chori, Sohniay De Laare, Ghar Hoon Kitni Ky Doore, Sajjre Challe Muklave, Mittaran Da Sah Rukhda, Dil Vatte Dil, Gajray Gori De, Gali Gali Vich Hokay, Laare Tere Nayi Mukkene and Chardi Kala Panth Khalsa are among his composed albums.
He has also written lyrics for many Punjabi songs like Vasde Raho Pardesio, Hath Hath Mein, Thumke Te Thumka, Gidhe Vich Nachdi, Lai Gaee Kalja, Mar Gae Majajne, Sare Hi Trucka Vale Ne, Dhian Rukh Te Pani and Mul Morta. He has produced and worked as associate cinematographer of Red Dog Diary: A Dogumentary in the year 2010.
