Sangeeta Sindhi Bahl Biography 
Sangeeta Sindhi Bahl is an Indian mountaineer from Jammu and Kashmir. She holds the record of being the oldest Indian women mountaineer to summit Mount Everest at an age of 53 years, and she created this record most recently on 19 May 2018, breaking the 7 year old record earlier created by Premlata Agarwal at the age of 48 years. She is also the first woman from Jammu and Kashmir to scale the Mount Everest. She is also a former model of 1980s who was one of the finalists of Miss India 1985. She is the founder-director and image consultant of Impact Image Consultants, a Gurgaon based professional company.
Sangeeta S. Bahl was born on 9th February 1965 in Jammu. She has been a model in the 1980s and a finalist of Miss India 1985. She later married Ankur Bahl and settled with her family life. She has one son. She got inspired from an idea put forward by her husband and decided to do mountaineering in 2011, when she was 46 years old. She decided to take it as profession and started rigorous training before she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (5895 M) with her husband. Two years later, she climbed Mt. Elbrus of 5642 M. In 2014 she climbed Mt. Vinson in Antartica becoming the third Indian woman to conquer this mountain peak.
She scaled Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak of South America in 2015. She made her first attempt to scale Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world in 2017, but narrowly missed it. She finally made it on 19 May 2018, registering a new record as the oldest Indian woman to conquer the highest peak of the world. “I feel on top of the world after scaling the world’s highest peak”, that’s what she told after sealing the iconic moment to her name.
