Sangeet Haldipur Biography

Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur together forms the composer duo of Bollywood - Sangeet-Siddharth. Sons of Amar Haldipur, noted Hindustani vocalist and composer, they are siblings who work together for independent albums as well as film songs. The brothers have given numerous hit songs to Bollywood, under the name, Sangeet-Siddharth. They earned initial fame after the sensuous song of Murder 2, ‘Aa Zara Kareeb Se’. Since then the duo has been associated with main stream cinema, mostly giving single tracks to film albums. Blood Money, Nasha, Raaz Rebooted etc are some of their major works in main stream Bollywood.

 

Sangeet Haldipur was born into a famous musical family, with rich heritage. His father Amar Haldipur is a noted music director and composer of Indian music industry, and a noted violinist. The brothers took formal learning in music from their father, and later got exposed to other forms of music like rock and jazz. His brother Siddharth was one among the members of the famous ‘A Band of Boys’, the first Indian version of boy bands who rose to prominence in 2002.

 

The brothers joined hands and started giving music, and succeeded in this field after a few initial drawbacks. They followed the tradition of father, who has also given some wonderful compositions earlier. The duo got first break to films through Fruit and Nut, a comedy film released in 2009. The duo tasted success for the first time through Murder 2, where they composed a couple of songs, Aa Zara and Tujhko Bhulana. "Aarzoo" of Blood Money, “Nasha” & “Laila” (Unplugged) from Nasha, "O Meri Jaan" of Raaz: Reboot etc were major hits. The brothers also rendered their voices for the songs of Nasha.
