Sandhya Chib is a former model and a beauty pageant title holder - Miss India Universe 1996. She is the winner of Miss India Worldwide 1996, held in New York City, New York, United States. A successful super model, she represented India at Miss Universe 1996 and also managed to find position in the top 10 contestants of the prestigious Miss Universe Contest 1996. A mom, a model and a hostess in an Indian restaurant abroad, she is a busy person right now.

She was born and brought up in Bangalore. Got into the career of modelling, she was crowned Miss India in the year 1996. Rani Jeyraj and Mini Menon were crowned runner ups. It was a time when Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai had just placed India’s name is the global map of beauty pageants and so, expectations were many. Though she couldn’t reach the top 5 list, she managed to finish as a semifinalist. Same year she won the title - Miss India Worldwide 1996, held in New York City. Krijay Govender from South Africa and Pooja Kumar from US were given the runner-up titles, while Rishma Malik from Canada and Sharon Chandni from Ethiopia managed to find position in the top 5 list.

Though she had a promising modelling career ahead she very soon got engaged.  She settled with family life soon after her achievements. She married Anup Jacob and flew to US where she began a new life as a successful model and a hostess in an Indian restaurant. She has one daughter aged 19. She comes to Bangalore every year to meet her parents. She loves travelling too. She has done theatre during her school days.
