Sandeep Thakur Biography
Sandeep Thakur is an Indian musician and violinist, who works in Bollywood industry too. He plays western music, and has worked with film music composers for the recording of songs of the movies - Mohabbatein, Ishq, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Student of the Year, Chak De India, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Aashiqui 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Dangal. He also owns an independent career and has also been a part of the Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak’s Ta Thaiya. He is active in the music industry since 1997 and has completed two decades in the industry. He has also released many cover versions of popular songs and compositions on YouTube.
Sandeep Thakur was born on 26 July 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He joined film industry in the late 1990s, and has been associated with the music department for some of the best musical blockbusters of the past two decades. He has worked with almost all leading composers of music industry like A R Rahman, Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Mithoon, Salim-Suleiman, Vishal-Shekhar, Amit Trivedi etc, and is one of the most sought western violinists of present times. He got opportunity to perform at the famous The Royal Albert Hall, London along with Nitin Sawhney and The Esplanade, Singapore when they performed some of the legendary tunes of R. D. Burman in instrumentals.
Sandeep also performs on stage as well as private parties, elite weddings and corporate events. In 2018, he performed at the big fat wedding of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, the most expensive Indian wedding so far. Sandeep recreated Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" through his violin which turned popular. Similarly he has done cover versions of many songs like Galliyan of Ek Villain.
