Sandeep Mehta Biography

Sandeep Mehta is a well-known actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He plays character roles in Bollywood movies as well as Hindi TV shows, and is a well-known face of the entertainment world through a few TV ads. He hails from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and has been associated with professional Marathi and Gujarati plays, before he forayed to celluloid and small screen. He is a well experienced stage actor who has worked in 15 professional Marathi plays with a total of around 1200 shows, and also 11 Gujarati plays with a total of around 1000 shows.

Sandeep Mehta was born in Jalgaon, Maharashtra in the year 1967. His school and intermediate studies were completed in his hometown, where he was associated with cultural events since young. He completed his graduation in Pune. He also won many prizes in one-act play competitions. He has also performed in Maharashtra State Government Drama Competitions. He joined amateur theatre at a very young age, and later went on to become a true professional in this field, appearing in both Marathi and Gujarati plays.

He started his professional career as a stage actor while doing his graduation at Pune, and his experience in stage gave him offers from television and movies. As a film actor he marked his debut with year 2000 movie, Mission Kashmir, followed by Astitva. Since then he has been regular in Bollywood playing different shades of character roles in movies such as Paap, Filmstar, Traffic Signal, Corporate, Raaz 2, Jail etc. He is quite active in television and his most popular role is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He also acts in Marathi movies.
