Sanchana Natarajan Biography

Sanchana Natarajan is an Indian model and actress who works in south Indian film industry. She started off her film career doing brief roles, and rose to popularity after starring in a pivot role in the popular Tamil web series, As I'm Suffering From Kadhal (2017) directed by Balaji Mohan. Madhavan starrer Irudhi Suttru (2016) and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 (2018) are some of the Tamil films, where Sanchana was offered brief roles. In 2017 she marked her Telugu film debut with Guru. Ra Ra Rajasekhar and 2.0 are her upcoming Tamil flicks. A successful model, she contested in Femina Miss India 2017 and finished in the top three finalists of the Tamil Nadu quotient.

Sanchana Natarajan hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She schooled from CSI Jessie Moses School in Anna Nagar, Chennai and later completed graduation in Visual Communication. She grew interest in fashion and modelling during her college days at Chennai. She walked the ramp for Chennai-based choreographers and designers and also participated in the Miss South India pageant 2012. The following year she participated in in Raj TV's reality television show Tamil Pesum Kadhanayagi, where she emerged as winner, and also received her first film offer. The film was offered by Balaji Sakthivel. The movie titled Ra Ra Rajasekhar is yet to get released in theatres.

Sanchana then appeared in a small role in Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe (2014) – her first theater release. She also appeared in YouTube videos as an actress, and slowly gained attention. "Dappangkuthu" video with Put Chutney made her immensely popular. She worked in a short film in Jeeboomba, and also played a boxer in Madhavan starrer bilingual Irudhi Suttru/Saala Khadoos. She reprised the same role in its Telugu version titled Guru, co-staring Venkatesh. After playing notable small roles, she gained immense popularity through Tamil web series, As I'm Suffering From Kadhal. She got immense praise from audience for the portrayal of Divya.
