Sananth Biography

Sananth is a popular film actor associated with Tamil cinema. He marked his film debut with Ajay Gnanamuthu's horror film Demonte Colony (2015), and later did some of the memorable roles in Jil Jung Juk , Demonte colony etc. He also appeared in the very popular web series ‘As I am suffering from Kadhal’ directed by Balaji Mohan. He was most recently seen in the silent thriller titled Mercury directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Sananth was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was interested in sports and theatre since his school days and was a member of respective clubs at school. He also had a brief stint with a theatre group called Masquerade soon after his school days. He appeared on stage for several plays for his passion to acting and drama. In fact he discontinued his engineering studies to pursue a career in acting and theatre. However he completed visual communication course in Madras Christian College. He was a part of several short films during his college days.

In 2013, he appeared in one short film, Madhu during his academic years. Later the short film was selected to be a part of the anthology film Bench Talkies. His experience in theatre and short films brought him to cine world he has been waiting for a long time. In 2015 he made his feature film debut with horror film Demonte Colony, where he was casted in the parallel lead role. He shared screen space with Arulnithi and Ramesh Thilak for this movie directed by debutant Ajay Gnanamuthu. The movie was received well by critics and the audience, and was declared a Super Hit at the Box-office. Later he appeared in two more Tamil movies - Jil Jung Juk and Mercury and was a part of web series, As I'm Suffering From Kadhal, in the role of Badri.
