Sampath Nandi Biography

Sampath Nandi is a young filmmaker and screenwriter associated with Telugu cinema. He directed Ram Charan Tej’s 4th film Racha. It was his second film as a director. He has also written dialogues for a few movies such as Toss (2007 film). Ravi Teja's movie Bengal Tiger (2015) was his latest release, where Tamannaah Bhatia played the female lead. She has earlier worked with the director for the movie – Racha in 2012. He made his directorial debut in the year 2010 with the movie - Yemaindi Ee Vela, starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal. In 2014 he produced one movie- Galipatam.

 

He was born in the year 1980. Hanamakonda of Warangal district of Telangana is his native place. He completed B Pharmacy in VLCP, Raichur where he was college topper. He assisted Posani Krishna Murali for three years after his academic years. In between he was also active with ad films in Mumbai. Since younger days his parents encouraged him to go to a library nearby and they nourished his reading habits. They never encouraged him to watch movies. Slowly he became an avid reader of books. Yamudiki Mogudu was one of the earliest movies he watched and since then he became an avid fan of Chiranjeevi.

 

After that he slowly started watching movies and used to review films also. He also liked the dialogues of Posani Krishna Murali. Once he got his personal number and then started a new habit of conversing with him in his free time over phone. After watching the movie Alluda Majaka directed by Posani, he asked him if he could assist him. That’s how he entered film industry as an assistant director. 2010 film Yemaindi Ee Vela marked his film debut as a director and since then he is active in the industry, working with many leading banners.
