Sameer Iqbal Patel Biography 
Sameer Iqbal Patel is an actor and model from the state of Gujarat. He is also a successful playwright and director, who has directed a dozen of commercial plays. In 2017, he adapted one of his popular plays - Baat Baat Mein Bigdey Haalat, a Hindi comedy play, and made his first feature film in Hindi, Hotel Beautifool. The movie starring Rejith Menon, Brijendra Kala, Johnny Lever and Imam Siddique, is yet to hit theatres. Its theme song is recorded in Usha Uthup’s voice. The movie has been produced by Mohammed Aslam Shaikh and Madhire Ravinder Reddy. He is also working on another project, Tata Goodbye, a black comedy. Sameer wrote the TV show, Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai, and has appeared as an actor in a few soap dramas too.
Sameer hails from a Gujarati family of Jambusar. Sharifa Patel and Iqbal Patel are his parents. Sameer started his professional career as a model, and has modelled for some of the leading brands of the country. Later he went to do plays as well as TV soaps in the late 1990s. He has been a part of soap dramas such as Ehsaas, Mr. Aur Mrs. Verma Ki Rasoi and Noor Jehan. He turned a screenwriter ofTV shows through Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai in 2009.
He later turned more active with theatre, writing and directing many successful Hindi plays of the recent times. Baat Baat Mein Bigdey Haalat with Rakesh Bedi and Chetanya Adib is his most successful play up-to-date, and he has also adapted it to silver screen, to mark his directorial debut in Bollywood. He started a digital channel, SIP Digital, with the first video being, ‘All The Breast’ – a video to create awareness of breast cancer.
