Sajith is associated with Malayalam film industry since 2007 and has worked as an assistant director for the films, Puthiya Mugham, Ali Bhai and My Big Father. He also works as an associate director in the industry.

Sajith Jagadnandan was born on May 25, 1981 in Thiruvananthapuram. He is married to Anjali Menon. Sajith started off his career as an assistant and associate director in 2007, and has worked under the directors - Shaji Kailas and Dhipan. During his early years, his passion to cinema prompted him to stand before Shaji Kailas’ home and finally got opportunity to work as his assistant in one film. It was his introduction to films, long back in 2007 for Mohanlal starrer, Ali Bhai. It took almost one decade in the industry for Sajith to direct a full-fledged film. His debut film, Ore Mugham though received mixed reviews, fared well at box office and thus Sajith tasted success for his debut film.

The movie Ore Mugham belonging to suspense thriller genre starred Dhyan Sreenivasan, Prayaga Martin and Aju Varghese in pivot roles. The movie also introduced dancer-actress Remya Panickar to silver screen. The cinematography was done by Satheesh Kurup. The movie release was postponed several times due to currency crisis in 2016 November and finally released in the first week of December. The movie was supposed to release in Onam. The film narrates a campus story in the backdrop of 1980s, and its teaser too was an instant hit.

Sajith approached Dhyan Sreenivasan first with the film script followed by Aju Varghese, and their combo was the success formula of the film. It is the most challenging role of Dhyan’s career as well. His debut film title Ore Mugham has a resemblance with Prithviraj’s Puthiya Mugham, and quite co-incidence, Sajith worked as an assistant director in this movie as well.
