Saberna Saboo Biography

Saberna Saboo was a noted actress associated with Tamil television. She has also anchored a few TV shows. She was seen in popular Tamil serials like ‘Pasamalar’ and ‘Pudhu Kavidhai’. She was found dead at her house in Chennai on November 11, 2016. As per reports she committed suicide at her individual flat in Chennai. The actress has been facing mental stress for the past few days before her suicide and she also shared her mental status and agony on social media. It was early the same year when very popular Hindi television actress Pratyusha Banerjee too committed suicide due to her personal issues on relationship and stress.

Saberna Saboo, also known as Suguna and Sabarna Anand started her career as a TV anchor and appeared in several popular Tamil television soap operas. She became a household name through the roles she played in the shows, ‘Pasamalar’ and ‘Pudhu Kavidhai’. She also appeared on several shows on Star Vijay. She has also played minor roles, namely in films like Dhanush’s Padikathavan, Vishal’s Poojai and Simbu’s Kaalai.

Saberna was found dead in her apartment in Chennai. As per reports, Saberna’s house remained closed for about three days. When a foul smell came out of the house, neighbours alerted the police. When the police arrived, the door was not locked from the inside and Saberna’s body was lying on the floor, reportedly in a decomposed state. Her death gave shockwaves to Tamil entertainment industry. Just a few months before, noted Tamil TV actor Sai Prashanth committed suicide at his residence in Chennai recently. One day later, noted Malayalam television actress Rekha Mohan too was found dead in her apartment.

Saberna’s suicide note was found by the police. Yet it was hard to believe for her friends in close circle, what prompted Saberna to take this drastic step. Saberna holds a graduation in Psychology and often helps her friends with advices in state of distress. Yet her friends reported that she was in a state of stress for the last few days.
