Saahil Prem Biography

Saahil Prem is an Indian film actor and director associated with Bollywood. He is a successful model and music composer too. He started his career as a DJ in England, before he took up acting career. As an actor he is best known for playing the male lead opposite Sunny Leone in sex-horror thriller Ragini MMS 2. He produced, directed and played the main lead in Mad About Dance, one of the first Indian films about dance. The movie was well supported and promoted by actors like Shah Rukh Khan. He has played a brief role in Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual comedy film directed by Kamal Hassan, Sabaash Naidu, and the movie is yet to hit theatres. He plays the role of Kabir in this movie.

Saahil Prem was born in Chembur, Mumbai. He schooled from St. Peter's Boys School, a boarding school in Panchgani. For advanced studies he moved to England and enrolled at Sheffield Hallam University. While he was a student at the college, he started his professional career as a DJ. He also became the resident DJ for his University. Later he took up residency at one of the best Asian clubs, Mangos in London. Since then he has worked as a DJ for different clubs and events in London city.

He moved to India, and decided to pursue a career in acting. He enrolled at Actor Prepares, where he did a three-month crash course in acting. In 2007 he joined Bollywood as an assistant director. He initially worked under Vipul Shah for Akshay Kumar starrer, Namastey London. Then he started writing his dance film Mad About Dance and it took a long time to complete this project. He played male lead opposite Amrit Maghera, and also marked his debut as a director through this movie. He composed "Kahan Hai Khuda" of the movie, and also its two more versions. In fact he has already made his acting debut through Ragini MMS 2.
