S. B. Khanthan Biography 
S. B. Khanthan is a film director and play director associated with Tamil entertainment, art and cinema. Apart from films and plays, he has also directed many documentaries and ad films, and earned success in this field. He has directed one Tamil comedy film, Jerry in 2006 starring Jithan Ramesh, Shruthi Raj, Mumtaj and Meera Vasudevan. The movie was scripted by Crazy Mohan adapted from one of his popular plays and produced by V. Vishwanathan. The film was earlier titled Idhuthan Kadhal Enbathaa.
S. B. Khanthan hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the son of T. S. Balakrishna Sastrigal, noted Harikatha exponent from Tamil Nadu. His brother T. S. B. K. Moulee is a cine personality, best known as a film director and actor. He is a Chartered Accountant by qualification. He currently serves as Senior Executive in a consumer durable conglomerate. He is a Creative Director by Profession, known for his proficiency in ad field.
As a personality associated with Tamil theatre, he owns a long term association with Crazy Mohan, well established film and theater artist. In fact his directorial debut Jerry was based on one of the plays originally scripted by Mohan. He learnt nuances of film making from his director brother, T. S. B. K. Moulee – a well-established name in film industry. He learnt basics of Visual Communication through cinematographer, P. C. Sreeram.
As an ad-maker, he has produced and directed some of the popular ads such as Dukes Biscuits, Bhandari Interstate Carriers, Pentasoft and Elac Water Heaters. He is the Founder-Director of Crazy Creations which has staged numerous plays successfully. Crazy Mohan is associated with his troupe. Till now they together have done more than 4500 plays across various countries.
