Rohan Mehra Biography

Rohan Mehra is a popular television actor and Bollywood film actor. He is best known for portraying Naksh Singhania in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Made his television debut in 2012 with the series, Gumrah, Rohan later played noted roles in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Webbed 2. Roah is currently seen in the show - Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai aired on Star Plus since 2015. He played male lead in Bollywood film, Uvaa in 2015 and was earlier seen in Bollywood film, Sixteen (2013) starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Zakir Hussain. He portrayed the pivot role of Karthik in the film.

He is a native of Amritsar, born on 8 April 1987. His father is into business and Mehra is also a national table tennis player.  He did his schooling from St. George's College, Mussoorie. Later he completed graduation from Hans Raj College, Delhi. He started modelling in 2010 and since then he is into the acting field. He appeared in the ads of Reebok, Hero Cycles, Honda, Priyagold Biscuits, Samsung, BlackBerry etc. Apart from daily soaps and a couple of Bollywood films, he has also done numerous television ads. He worked with Jimmy Shergill, popular boxer Sangram Singh and Veteran actor Om Puri for his recent Bollywood release – Uvaa, where he played the male lead.

Till now he has portrayed various roles in Yeh Hai Aashiqui as Amar, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain as Varun, MTV Webbed 2 as Ravi, Gumrah as Aarav and currently doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Naksh Singhania. One of the longest running and popular television series, he is being introduced to the soap when it took a long leap of 10 years. Karan Mehra and Hina Khan are his favourite co-stars. Charlie Chauhan, Arjun and Mohit are his best friends from modelling team. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are his favourite actors on big screen.
