Rohan Gandotra Biography

Rohan Gandotra is a popular television actor associated with Hindi shows. Qubool Hai, Everest, Kaala Teeka, Naagin 2 and Dil Se Dil Tak are some of his popular shows on television. He marked his acting with the Telenovela TV series, Everest in 2014, created, scripted and produced by renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. In this show, he played the lead hero, and shared screen space with Shamata Anchan and Sahil Salathia. Rohan is regular with adventurous shows as well as fantasy ones. He was most recently seen in Laal Ishq and Dil Se Dil Tak. Rohan is one of the popular male actors of Hindi television industry.

Rohan Gandotra was born in Delhi on 26 August 1990. He got the big break to television industry when he was chosen to play the male lead in Ashotush Gowariker’s TV debut show ‘Everest’. He was selected from over 200 people in the auditions to play the lead role of Aakash Joshi, a dare-devil journalist. He had to undergo around seven look tests along with acting and rigorous mountaineering workshops before he was finally announced as lead male character for the limited episodic show.

He completed his Bachelors in Computer in Delhi and also worked in the capital city for a while before he moved to entertainment world. He was not enjoying doing what he was doing. So he decided to try a hand at modelling and started off doing print ads in Delhi. It was during this time that he was called for an audition by Ashutosh’s team and was later finalized to play the lead role. Before getting his debut role in television, he had already moved to Mumbai 1.5 years before, in search of good opportunities.
