Riythvika Biography

Riythvika is an upcoming south Indian actress who plays character roles in Tamil movies. Her name is also pronounced as Rithvika and Ritwika. She made her film debut in 2013. 2014 film, Madras is her best performance up-to-date. She received Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Tamil for the movie and also nominations at Vijay awards and SIIMA Awards for the same role, in the supporting category. After that movie, she took a small break to return on silver screen with two movies in 2016 – Anjala and Azhagu Kutti Chellam. Oru Naal Koothu, Kabali and Engalukku Veru Kilaigal Kidaiyadhu are her upcoming releases.

Riythvika belongs to Chennai. Her education was completed at Chennai itself. She holds a graduation degree. Since young drawn towards movies, Riythvika used to enact film sequences which she liked a lot. She studied at SIET, Chennai, where she got involved with short films. Since then she used to send her photos to casting directors, hoping for a break to film scene. She got her first break in the year 2013 through the movie, Paradesi directed by Bala. The film starred Adharvaa, Vedhicka and Dhansika in lead roles and Riythvika was seen in a supporting role of Karuthakanni. After that she got many supporting roles for Tamil films.

In 2014, two movies got released - Ninaithathu Yaaro and Madras. She played the pivot role of a Chennai girl, Mary in the political drama Madras for which she received her first Filmfare award. In 2015 none of her movies were released. Anjala and Azhagu Kutti Chellam got released in 2016. She is to play a pivot role in Rajnikanth’s upcoming movie – Kabali.
