Rio Raj Biography

Rio Raj is a television actor and video jockey associated with Tamil entertainment industry. As an actor he is best known for playing lead role in Saravanan Meenatchi (season 3). Rio is also a very popular VJ with SUN Music. He is to mark his Tamil film debut in 2018. The untitled film is in production stage where he plays male lead, and more news are yet to come in. Earlier he has done a supporting role in 2017 Tamil film, Sathriyan playing Vikram Prabhu's friend. Rio Raj started his career in Vijay TV as actor, and now a very popular small screen figure among Tamil television viewers. He is a recipient of Vikatan award for best anchor in 2014.

Rio Raj hails from Erode, Tamil Nadu. He was born on 17 February 1989. Currently he is settled in Chennai, busy with his personal assignments. He is married to Sruthi Ravi. His early days were spent in his hometown where he completed his schooling and graduation. He worked in a company for few years, before he pursued his real passion to join entertainment industry. He started his professional career as a VJ with Sun TV, and later started accepting film and television roles as well. He succeeded as an actor too, and got meaty lead role from the television industry.

Started his career as an anchor, he played his first lead role through the series, Kana Kanum Kalangal Kaloori Kallam aired on Vijay TV. He works as a VJ with Sun Music for the past three years. Free Ah Vidu, Kaloorikalam Suda Suda Chennai, Coffee Tea Area, Your Attention Please etc are some of the roles which he anchored. In 2017 he bagged The Best Find of the year in Vijay Television Awards.
