Rimpi Das is an Assamese film actress who appears in Hindi films also. The recent buzz is that the actress is being roped in to play the lead character of Noor Jahan in the television series - Akbar Birbal, which happens to be her debut Hindi serial. Rimpi has also appeared in several Assamese VCDs like Uroniya Mon, Phaguni, Jonaki Mon, Gamosha, Achinaki Mon etc.

This beautiful actress made her Kollywood debut through Pali directed by A.Jesudoss and has played distinct roles in several movies. She made her debut to Assamese films through Monot Birinar Jui during her school days and quit school studies to join film line. The break was given by director Ashok Bisoya. She has done supporting roles in Assamese movies like Adhinayak, Ami Axomiya and has also appeared in a few Bollywood films. Rani Mukherji is her favourite actress of Bollywood, whom she inspires most. Rimpi is keen to accept challenging roles and not hesitate to do negative or vamp roles. Rimpi is soon to entry south Indian films with Tamil movies.

She is to play Noor Jahan in the popular Hindi series, Big Magic’s Akbar Birbal, where she will be seen impressing Akbar, and Birbal falls in love with her. The actors Saurabh Raaj Jain and Gaurav Khanna play the lead roles of Akbar and Birbal respectively and Rimpi will be seen as Noor Jahan romancing both. After accepting the role, this girl from North-East worked on Hindi diction. Akbar Birbal happens to be her debut Hindi serial, where she is been roped to play the female lead Noor Jahan. Shooting has begun this September.
