Rhea Pillai Biography

Rhea Pillai is a former successful model. She is the wife of famous tennis player Leander Paes. The couple has a daughter, Aiyana. She was earlier married to Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt. Now she is an Art of Living foundation instructor and brand ambassador for several products. Though she is known as a successful model, she has not been active into the film industry. She was seen in a minor screen role in the Hindi movie Corporate, released in 2006.              

She was born to Raymond Pillai, a financial controller at IBM Europe and Dhurreshwar Dhanrajgir, a doctor. Actress Zubeida, who acted in the first Indian talkie Alam Ara is her maternal grandmother. Rhea Pillai married actor Sanjay Dutt in 1998. It was his second marriage. But this marriage ended in 2002. But they remained good friends and remained close to Paes family after her second marriage. She married Tennis ace player, Leander Paes in 2005 in a small, intimate ceremony attended by friends circle. According to her, her friendship with Sanjay Dutt is unconditional love that grows deeper and mature over time, and they care each other in time of difficulties. As per latest news, Rhea Pillai and Leander Paes are headed for a split. One of the reasons for the disharmony is cited to be her extravagant lifestyle.

In 2003, she was honored as the "Woman of the Year" on International Women's Day. She was awarded for her social services. Now she is actively involved in the Art of Living Foundation, founded by Sri Sri Ravishankar and works as an instructor. Now she endorses various products as well.
